One out of every two Afro-Americans who now enter the ‘gay scene’ will contract the H.I.V.-virus before age 50, according to the Center of Disease Control, but seeing a therapist and buying his/her book is apparently far more dangerous. No-one spreading sexually transmittable diseases, lethal or non-lethal, is persecuted in California, but seeing a shrink appears to be the bloody limit. Homosexuality is no longer seen as a threat to our youth: heterosexuality is! It is not the virus of the prostitute that can harm you as you engage in sex with him, it is his speech as you listen to him. They have finally turned the tables around. In the previous blog, we analyzed Samuel Brinton’s article in the New York Times about alleged “torture” by a non-professional counselor. It is part of his campaign to silence professional psychotherapy and remove therapists from the public arena. He is one of the few men in the USA who makes it his job to denounce and persecute his parents in every state and by means of the Internet. It has even become his main source of income, rather than making money as a nuclear physics scientist. Something has to be said to defend the parents. Samuel Brinton, the poster-boy extremist, working for the anti-therapy campaign of the National Center of Lesbian Rights (NCLR), has managed to have an article published in New York Times on January 22, 2018. This article was crafted to resemble a regular article. But it is part of their campaign and reiterates the tiresome slander of the defamation rhetoric crafted to influence public opinion. The aim is to marginalize and ultimately remove all professionals who counsel people with unwanted same-sex attractions (SSA’s) from the public arena. Why now, you may ask? Homosexuality is an outdated concept. In this modern-day era, we bring forward that homosexuality does not exist as a separate sexuality in its own right. Sexuality does not come in isolated and separate categories such as plant, animal or mineral. Science demonstrates that human sexuality is fluid and not fixed into seperate immutable types. The sexualization of same-sex attractions is a coping mechanism, which the body is applying to try to deal adequately with the elements that constitute the Gay Related Complex. The concept of sexual ‘orientations’ is merely a figure of speech. Orientations do not exist as actual biological entities, but through repetition and activism, they have come to live a life of their own in the minds of the general public. What we actually see is chronic fixations, not orientations. In this article, we will describe this approach to sexual syndromes, notably the Don Juan Syndrome and the Sadomasochist Syndrome. Regular science understands homosexuality more than ever before. A whole complex of feelings and experiences can be identified which ultimately gives way to same-sex attractions. Before we analyze the Gay Related Complex, we need to look into the controversy with which radical gay-lib has confused the debate in the past three decades. Gay-lib has even created a science of its own, called LGBT-psychology. By boldly denying all underlying mechanisms, this frame of thought has led to therapeutic neglect. In this article, we will analyze the phenomenon, demonstrate how and why it is a pseudo-science, explore its historical roots, and explain in what way it is actually harmful to young people who are questioning what to make of life. In 2012 the Dutch minister of Health, Edith Schippers, ended the financing of psychotherapeutic counseling for persons seeking help for unwanted same-sex attractions. She had been been approached by a Dutch gay-lib organization. “Homosexuality is not a mental disorder, therefore it does not warrant treatment. It is totally normal”, Schippers declared in parliament. This stance, however, raises some serious questions. Does homosexuality really give just as few problems as heterosexuality does? Is it merely a coincidentally occurring phenomenon? Are there no inherent worries and profound concerns about the emotional, psychological, social and perhaps for some, even spiritual health of the individual? And is the term “mental disorder” the be-all-and-end-all of psychotherapeutic help? In this article, we investigate psychotherapy, and address the political implications of our findings.
